Our popular paint nights are returning to branches next week with a new lineup of offerings for all age groups. In partnership with Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA), Visual Arts Brampton, and the BAO (Brampton Arts Organization), Paint the Town is a wonderful opportunity to paint, learn, and socialize with other participants.

Learn techniques for creating art using acrylic paint, soft chalk pastels, watercolours, and sometimes even spices! These artist-led sessions will be scattered throughout our various branches, with one session held at PAMA. All materials are provided on-site, free of charge.

Beyond learning basic techniques, participants will explore unconventional mediums, like the use of yarn and watercolour paint to create a cozy greeting card in January, or a unique paint session in March involving spices and paint base, a technique to best complement the continuation of our Spice take-and-make kits program. In February, we’re featuring a unique digital paint night, which will make use of a computer app focused on human anatomy and heart health, just in time for our Heart Health Series.

Some paint nights are in direct recognition of important events, like the family session just days after Family Day and the Children’s paint night during March Break. Teens are invited to a special paint session with a live DJ and artist, Abiola Idowu. Teens are also welcome to check out our Tattoo Design and Zine workshops
