TD Summer Reading Club
Children 0-12 years are invited to join our free summer learning program: TD Summer Reading Club. By participating, children complete challenges to encourage reading, reduce the summer slide, and have fun!
Baby (0-2 years)
How it works
- Create a Beanstack account through Brampton Library
- Join TD Summer Reading Club through your Brampton Library Beanstack account between June 3 - September 3.
- Complete the 0-2 years old challenges for ballots into the ongoing prize draws.
- Complete five (5) challenges to earn a free book!
Jr. Brainiacs (3-5 years) & Brainiacs (6-12 years)
How it works
- Create a Beanstack account through Brampton Library
- Join TD Summer Reading Club through your Brampton Library Beanstack account between June 3 - September 3.
- Play bingo on the print sheet or through your online Beanstack account.
- Complete challenges to earn entries into prize draws:
- Online participation will automatically provide you with tickets.
- If you are participating with a bingo card, return to your favourite library branch to report on your progress!
Prize Draws
- Complete one line on the print or online bingo card for 3-5 years to earn a ballot into the Grand Prize draw for a Melissa & Doug Grocery Store accessories bundle. Complete all challenges on the 3-5 years bingo card for a second entry into the Grand Prize draw.
- Join the TD Summer Reading Club through your Brampton Library Beanstack account before July 10th to be automatically entered into the Early Bird Draw for a a Step 2 Dino Dig Sand and Water Table.
- Complete one line on the print or online bingo card for 6-12 years to earn a ballot into the Grand Prize draw for a Nintendo Switch with Super Mario Wonder and MarioKart games. Complete all challenges on the 6-12 years bingo card for a second entry into the Grand Prize draw.
- Join the TD Summer Reading Club through your Brampton Library Beanstack account before July 10th to be automatically entered into the Early Bird Draw for a LEGO prize set.
- Ongoing Prize Draws (0-12 years)
- For each completed challenge, participants can earn a ballot into the ongoing prize draws. If participating on the print bingo cards, come into any Brampton Library branch to report on your challenge progress. If you are participating online, you will earn ‘tickets’ for each completed badge and can choose which prize draws you would like to enter.
Teen Summer Reading Club
Earn badges for chances to win prizes by doing all kinds of stuff over the summer — reading, making things, going to library events, and exploring your community.
How does it work?
The more badges you earn, the more chances you have to win!
Sign up starting on June 3 and collect tickets to be automatically entered into the bi-weekly prize draws!
Complete challenges online for the chance to win Apple AirPod Pros in our Grand Prize Draw.
Join before July 10 to be automatically entered into our Early Bird Draw for a Canon Cliq+ Camera and Sticky Back Photo Paper!
Teen Summer Reading Club is open to Brampton Library members between the ages of 13 and 18.
Bi-weekly Prizes - For every badge you complete, you'll earn one (1) ticket into the bi-weekly prize draws. Apply your ticket to any of the prize draws. Take note of the draw date, as some of the prizes are drawn later in the summer!
Grand Prize - For a chance to win the grand prize, you must complete a row on the bingo card. You’ll earn extra entries when you complete the whole bingo card, as well as extra entries for the first row completed and the whole bingo card in the Virtual Escape Box challenge (starting June 28, 2024). If you are determined to have cheated on any of those challenges, you will no longer be eligible for the grand prize.
- Grand prize draws will take place after the program is complete in September.
- Winners' accounts will be reviewed by Brampton Library staff to ensure that challenges have been completed appropriately.
- If your name is drawn as a prize winner, we will contact you by email and/or phone to let you know. You will have four (4) weeks to pick up the prize or contact Brampton Library at 905-793-4636 or through the chat on this website to let us know when you will be able to pick it up. If we have not heard from you after four (4) weeks, we will draw another winner.

Don’t let the kids have all the fun this summer!
Explore new reads and interests with the Adult Summer Reading Club activity challenges and log the ebooks, audiobooks, non-fiction and fiction books you read between June 3 and September 3, 2024. Logging regularly gives you entries to prizes including Bi-weekly draws and a Grand Prize!!
Participating in the Adult Summer Reading Club is simple, here's how:
- Sign up or visit any Brampton Library branch to register in person at its registration station.
- Complete a row or the entire Adult Summer Reading Club challenge sheet online, or in-person by going to any Brampton Library branch to register and get the printed challenge sheet. The first complete row and the entire challenge sheet each gain you an entry into the Grand Prize draw. The online and print sheets have the same challenges.
- You can also log or review books online to be entered into each Bi-weekly draw
- RSVP to attend the Summer Soiree at Chinguacousy Branch Library in the Chinguacousy Park Ski Chalet on July 5. This event is for Adult Summer Reading Club members over the age of 19 only.
FAQ
How many books do I have to read to win a prize?
There are no minimum (or maximum) reading requirements. We just want you to have fun reading this summer!
What are the prizes?
- Bi-weekly prize draws: If you are a winner, you will be contacted to pick up your prize at the Brampton Library branch of your choice. Winners will be contacted using the phone and email address. If these do not work, or if we do not receive a response within four (4) weeks, another ballot will be drawn. Draws will include anyone who logged a book in the previous two weeks. Last day to enter the bi-weekly draws: June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11, and August 25, 2024.
- The Grand prize draw for an iPad with a smart cover and Apple pencil will be drawn at the end of the summer. Completion of one row or the entire card qualify as two separate ballots into the Grand Prize draw. The winner will be contacted using the phone and email address provided. If these do not work, or if we do not receive a response within four (4) weeks, another ballot will be drawn.
What is the Summer Soiree?
It is an event for all book lovers over the age of 19. Attend to hang out with other readers, enjoy a live DJ with fun music, savour light refreshments, and dance the night away at our Chinguacousy branch.
How do I attend the Summer Soiree?
Please reply when you receive the invitation through email. If you do not use email, please call 905-793-4636 to respond by phone. To ensure your spot, please register by June 21, 2024 on our program calendar of events.
Can I win prizes without attending the Summer Soiree?
Yes, as you participate in the Adult Summer Reading Club activities or log a book, you will get entries into the prize draws.
What happens if I am logging online and forget my password?
Go to the login page and click on “Forgot your password”
Do I have to read all the books in the challenge?
No, they are just suggestions. We encourage you to explore the genre and log or write about the books themselves. You can even build themed lists following the activity suggestions.
