Road to IELTS is an online resource to help you prepare for the official IELTS Academic and General tests from the British Council. Get ready for a great IELTS band score with these benefits:

• Access advice videos and guides from British Council specialists that will help you understand how the IELTS test works, what to expect, and how to prepare. 
• Get access to hundreds of interactive exercises for IELTS Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking, with instant marking and feedback. 
• Take IELTS practice tests to help you plan your answers, time your performance, and build confidence for test day. All practice tests come with answer keys to help you understand what examiners are looking for.

• Your learning can happen anytime on a laptop or mobile device with internet access.

How to access

Road to IELTS can be accessed from any computer or mobile device through a web browser. Before you choose to access this service, we advise that you consult the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Note: You must use the URL linked on this page or on our website to access Road to IELTS with your Brampton Library card.

Create your Road to IELTS account 

• Visit Road to IELTS in your web browser. 
• Next, you will see an option for IELTS preparation (Academic) and IELTS preparation (General). Select Start on the option you need.
• Type in your library card number, then select Start.
• Choose one of the following options.

Sign In / Register: This option allows you to keep track of your progress, such as exercises and practice tests you have completed. 

• Select Sign In / Register. 
• Enter an email address, choose a password, and confirm your password by re-entering it. Next, select Register to create your account. 
• You will be redirected to the Sign In page. Enter the email address and password you used to create your account, then select Sign In.
• You are now signed into your account and can start using Road to IELTS.

Continue as a guest: If you do not want to register for an account, you can choose to continue as a guest to use this resource. Keep in mind that any progress completed will not be saved if you choose this option.
