Now that this branch is temporarily closed, you will be able to pick up your holds in our temporary location inside Shoppers World at 499 Main Street South, near the Winners store, when we reopen in early October.
How do I return my books and other materials?

How long will South Fletcher’s Branch Library be closed?
It will be closed for approximately 16 months, with a target reopening of Fall 2025.

What services will be offered at Shoppers World?
The temporary branch will be smaller with a smaller selection of books and other materials, but will still offer Wi-Fi, computer stations, and a selection of programming for all ages. Library Settlement Partnership services will be relocated to the Cyril Clark Branch, and printing and copying will not be available in the temporary branch.
What will the hours of operation be at Shoppers World?
The temporary branch will be open the same hours as the current branch, except that Sunday hours will be shortened to meet the mall’s operating hours.
Why is Brampton Library undergoing renovations at this branch?
The library in the Susan Fennell Sportsplex has not been renovated since it opened in 1996 and no longer provides the amenities the community needs. At the same time, the Sportsplex is undergoing a major energy retrofit which will necessitate shutting off the heating and cooling to this branch for up to six months. Since this branch will be closed for this period, it offers the best opportunity for a complete renovation.
What are some key features of this renovation?
The renovation will provide for separate spaces for programming, quiet study, and collaboration; increase natural light by adding windows; allow for potential after-hours programming and after-hours study use; and offer a better customer experience, with updated furniture and decor.
