This year, more than ever, mental health has become more in-focus and more important, and therefore what better time than to start considering your own mental health and taking steps to improve it?

Did you know that October is Mental Health Awareness Month, with World Mental Health Day being October 10th, 2020?  To raise awareness and help our communities, Brampton Library will be releasing content every day, leading up to our grand finale on October 10th, and as we are a library, our focus will be on bibliotherapy!

Earlier in the summer, whilst the majority of us were confined to our homes, we brought you an introduction to Bibliotherapy. Now, we will be adding to our initial bibliotherapy blast with new releases each day!  Keep an eye on our social media channels for bibliotherapy tips and tricks, book recommendations, videos and curated book lists, all of which are aimed to help you engage in the wonderful benefits of bibliotherapy.

Then, join us for a special post on World Mental Health day itself, which will feature a focus on the WMHD theme for 2020: Increased investment in mental health.  Please enjoy, interact and most importantly, focus on YOU for October!
