Halloween has always been my favourite day of the year! The DIY costumes, incredible artistry of pumpkin carving, the brisk weather with its crunchy leaves, and the treats! With Halloween just around the corner, here are some great new picture books to get you into the Halloween spirit:
There’s a witch in your book by Tom Fletcher (2021). A playful and interactive book where the reader encounters a grumpy witch and you can use your magic finger wand!
The little ghost who lost her boo by Elaine Bickell (2020). A story about a ghost looking for her lost boo, with beautiful illustrations and told in rhyme, making it a great Halloween BOO-k.
We’re going on a pumpkin hunt by Goldie Hawk (2021). A play on the classic “we’re going on a bear hunt”, with a Halloween twist.
Cookie boo by Ruth Paul (2000). Get ready to say “BOO”, a not-so-spooky story about Halloween cookies having an adventure!
Pig the monster by Aaron Blabey (2021). Pig, the greedy pug gets carried away this year with all of the Halloween treats!
